Safety Sensors
Safety sensors are small, wired devices installed near the bottom of the garage door tracks on both sides. They use an invisible infrared beam to detect objects or people in the door’s path. If the beam is interrupted while the door is closing, the sensors automatically stop and reverse the door, helping prevent accidents and injuries.
Pressure Sensor
A pressure sensor in a garage door opener detects resistance or force when the door is closing. Its main purpose is to enhance safety by identifying if the door encounters an obstruction—like a person, pet, or object. If it senses unusual pressure, it signals the opener to stop or reverse the door to prevent injury or damage.
